And it all comes around. That’s quality writing. Oku uses Andrew’s litany of “Let’s start again” just before their twenty minutes is up. If this was a LOST episode, the question would be “Did it really take twenty minutes or did it take twenty-four hours and twenty minutes?” Think about it.

The unofficial rules of Floppy Hockey are as follows:

1. Time spent playing the game should be billed to a project currently well under budget
2. The “floppy”, or puck, may be a standard DVD-Rom, CD-Rom, 3 1/2″ floppy disc, 5 1/4″ floppy disc, 8″ floppy disc, or stack of business cards glued together
3. There are two teams of one to two people
4. The goal is to hit stuff and have a good time
5. Always backup your data

If we’re being entirely honest, I’m not sure that arachnids have the concept of “eight hate”. For as much as they’re feared and vilified, I don’t think a spider hates on anyone. And those tiny, spindly little legs couldn’t deliver much damage anyway. Also, if we’re being honest, the items of “pillow” and “face” can be substituted for any other objects. Lastly, I’m not sure “octopi” is a word, but I will continue to use it, because it sounds delicious and rubbery.

I can’t say that I’ve ever eight hated someone before. Humans can, at most, four hate someone, but even that sounds like it should be “for to hate”. That could be a t-shirt: “I for to hate you right now.” Get on that.

The gloves are off: daily quotas, misguided meetings, amends. There’s some definite tension in the room. Is anyone else impressed by Andrew’s time-keeping abilities. Mad tick-tock skillz, bra.

Can we say “witty banter”? How about “These fonts are too similar to use just a single speech bubble. We’re gonna have more errant tentacles than a sushi bar.”? Let’s just let them talk it out. Also, “octopossible” isn’t a word.

Now meet Andrew Hoek. We know it might be hard to keep everyone straight, so we’ve written a webpage explicitly devoted to listing characters. This is main character number four, and we feel your pain. We appreciate the effort you’re giving us.
